A loving tribute to the male physique and the "beefcake films" from the 50's and 60's. Bob Mizer's classic short films exude an innocence sadly lost over the decades. His work was not hardcore by any means, created during a time period when male nudity was extremely taboo (his earliest work didn't feature full-frontal nudity--the performers had to wear little "pouches" over the goods). Therefore, his work should be considered cinematic history of a sort, and the fact that Campfire Video has salvaged and showcased a small portion of these priceless gems makes their dvd releases definite must-haves. Lighthearted and fun documentaries with great entertainment value. Highest recommendation.
